Age: at least 21 years old
Minimum of two years previously in similar position
Valid Motorman's or electrician license
Knowledge of propulsion systems. Knowledge of auxiliary systems such as, hydraulic, water and sewage
Computer science degree with basic database knowledge
Maintain current STCW training
Completed Fire-Fighting training
Welding Certificate by one of the following LR, ABS, DNV, BV, GL
Language skills: English – advance level – MANDATORY
Additional language skills preferred: German, Italian, French, Spanish etc.
Contract: 6-8 months
Vacation: 2 months
Salary: minimum monthly guaranteed salary
Facilities on board: free of charge offered by the Company (accommodation, meals, medical services)
Accommodation: shared double cabin
Work schedule: 7 days/week, 10 hours/day (shifts)
Embarkation costs: depending on ship/itinerary (medical files, required visas)
Job Cruise FEE: NO FEE for recruitment/embarkation process
Assists
in the repair, overhaul and general maintenance (preventive and unscheduled) of
the systems and equipment.
General
steel work activities, including but not exclusive of welding, including TIG
and MIG, lathe operations, sheet metal work, pipe fitting and installation.
Arranges
tools needed and returns them after the job is completed
Cleans
up after completion of any job carried out under his supervision.
Assists
the Technical Support Officer in receiving spare parts and deliveries,
maintains all store areas organized and supports the storage and removal of parts
for maintenance throughout the vessel.
